happy new yr 2005.

A tragedic end to a blooming yr...
it can only say so much.

A message from god,
A trial for mankind,
A foreboding premonition,
the vulnerability of the human race.

some reminders,
some afterthoughts...

The rising complacency of man
The bad kharma of our world
Our predestined fate
A chaotic survival
A fucked up earth.

Jus how much is enough for the dawn of awakening?

19th dec 1997- MI185.
(no one is unbreakable, it's just a matter of time.)

31st oct 2000- SQ006.
(and when there's a 1st , there'll always be a 2nd time.)

9th sep 2001- 911 terrorism.
(credit to its phenomenal occurrence, Osama Bin Laden became the most chanted name globally. In my attempt to understand the rationale behind peace-fighting, a seemingly oxymoronic term, I had to do some reseach behind the interwines of Bush and Osama:

12th oct 2002- Bali bombing

3rd jan 2003- collision of MINDEF naval ship.

mar to jul 2003- SARs
(concurrent w more terrorist attacks ard d world. U've got 2 options, either to die gloriously in flames such as at the Yishun MRT or be preyed & engulfed by nature. b4 u die, remember to tk out ur thermometer. Ironically, both ways will end u up with a temp.)

mar to may 2003- next came the warfare against Saddam Hussein, the next known figure with growing popularity. More flames, more deaths, more sufferrings with an US-led invasion into Iraq.

20th apr 2004- nicholl highway collapse
29th apr 2004- Ayer Rajah worksite collapse

26th dec 2004- Asia's worst tsunamis attack

Happy New Yr 2005!!!

all disasters always happen towards the end of the yr... a telling sign for the coming year? A reminder of our deteoriorating world. That a resolution has to be made for a new yr.

Yet, we nv learn frm our mistakes, or maybe we are too blinded w pride. Slowly, the signs increases throughout the year. The intensity rises. Surely, it no longer concerns 1 country, 1 region, 1 kind of people. Today, disasters intertwined the lives of the world. It used to be: "earthquakes took the lives of the Japanese, typhoons blew away the lives of the Taiwanese, floods wash the bodies of the Philipinos, mass-firing in the schools of the Americans... "

On 2005, it's a different story. The almighty one has a new story plot planned for us.
An earthquake epic measuring 8.9 on the ritcher scale struck deep beneath the Indian Ocean unleashing 10m-high walls of water that came crashing down on beaches in seven Asian countries. Now we withness the wisdon of the almighty one. Of 365days, boxing day morn was picked for the unravelling of this story. It wouldn't have been as great a tragedy if not for the peak season. How else could u expect an influx of citizens from all over the world, and of all places, Asia. The perfect mix of pple, an excellent timing, the right location. For once, an epic that involves the world. Everyone gets a share in the crisis. The rich, the poor, the forgotten. Though a tragedy, it's nice to see countries working tog, pple feeling for each other.

Merry Xmas & A Happy New Year...
