The guardian

Some people are meant to be protectors
others are meant to be protected.

Some have a need to protect and they seek ways to satisfy
others never fail to find themselves in situations of distress.

Some want to protect
but are simply too ignorant when the need arises
yet they continue to believe they are capable
only to dash the expectations of others.

They think by offering a hand in the most precarious situation
is sufficient to be bestowed the title,
I say that's commonsensical.
Not doing anything only mk u heartless,
not a knight in silver armour.

I believe it's one who is capable of forseeing & prempting peril,
who has the magic to put u at ease despite looming danger
who make u feel safe without a single word
who find the idea of a protector ridiculous.

Most importantly, he will go against all odds to offer comfort
even if the consequence might not be towards his favour
so long his intentions are clear for his own conscience
since it has never been about self-interest.

Possible there is never a protector,
only a guardian angel.

(Anyway I think most people are too self-concious to offer much protection. I am disappointed.)
