My very own New Year

And so the last time I blog was last year...
that sounds like a loong time.

I can still vividly recall my last day of 2005,
the playback of the exact scenario in my head.
It's almost scary to be back at the beginning
as if I've never moved a inch.

How do I feel as I transcends into the 3rd day of 2007?
I feel as if I've withness the rolling of my entire 2006 in my VIP seat.
And with the finishing of the credits,
I'm into the start of my next year-long movie.

The 'New Year' holds little significance in me.
I do not like the idea of playing by the ears of an unknown man who decides that I should do a countdown at this particular hour.
Afterall, pple in Argentina will always be 12 hrs in our past, while pple in New Zealand are already 5hrs ahead in our future.
It appears a little nonsensical that people should be kicking such a big fuss when time is relative,
and every living moment will be a past in the future.
(not just the new yr.)

To me, every day is worth counting down.
Its importance no less than that of the new year, nor the millenium
which at the end of the day,
is just a number-counting game.

Perhaps if one day I grow sick of my current year,
I will draw up my own calendar:
5days per wk
2wks per month
8months per yr
I will end up celebrating my personalised New Yr 285days ahead of the world,
and u will be invited to my Near Yr Party every 80days thereafter.
