50 First Dates

I'm currently watching 50 First dates on my lappie.. n oh my, how I love it. And yeh, since it's taking some time to buffer, I might as well blog down some thoughts, freshly baked from within. How does it feel to wake up each day with no traces of yesterdays? It's as if your whole life simply stop short in time, and for once, you can beat time hands down. And probably, beat yourself to it too. By ur brain simply refusing to clock down etches of today, you have no life, no future, no tomorrows.

Imagine having a long-term memory of 25 yrs to see the face of a 52? How about waking up to a stranger beside you, saying, "Honey, we had great sex last night, don't we?"

Will you choose to be confronted with reality each morning? Ideally move on with the swears & depression by noon, and hopefully catch up with bits of your life before the sun presses your rewind button.

How about if you have someone in ur life who's incapable of having any memory of you?
Will you live a lie, to make her living more at ease. To live today over and over again, to act as if time never move an inch. And everyday to you, is but a repetition of yesterday.

Will you wake up each day making the same person fall in love with you all over again, despite knowing that she will forget you the very next? It does sound all fuzzy & lovely that every kiss will be its first, but that also means your shared love can never progress beyond the 1st. Can you settle for a love of a lifetime in exchange for only a day worth of love? That her memory of you will end with the setting of the sun, that each night you will go to sleep as a couple but waking up single.

Or will you leave the person, abandoning your story in the middle of a chapter, since there can only be black pages thereafter?

The loss of one's short-term-memory is real & is experienced by many in all parts of the world, some as bad as having only a 10-second memory. My heart goes out to them, and I wish them peace. So to my frens, treasure your memories. And yes, go watch 50 First Dates, you'll love it.
